Amaekpu Ezieogos
The Ezieogo is the administrative and traditional head of the community. He is selected from one of the ruling families and crowned by the head of Ikwu Abuo – the two maternal families (Ikwu) charged with such function. The Ezieogo functions with his Ezieogo and Council of Chiefs – a group of men selected from each of the 17 compounds and charged with advising the Ezieogo on all matters.
