This is the most common means of information dissemination in Amaekpu. He works under the Ezie Akpan. He visits the Ezie Akpan twice a day to receive information for dissemination and collects a little token for each message. 
He goes around every part of Amaekpu - once in the morning and - once in the evening, stopping at designated locations to pass the message. On normal days, the gong (ogele) would be his instrument to attract attention. Each tune has a meaning that only a handful understands.
